Jesus Had Two Dads and He Turned Out Just Fine!

What is wrong with this sign?

This is True!

God the Father and Joseph, who was Jesus’ Stepfather… Two dads!

It was all over the news and I can not believe how many people made a big deal out of it!  Some people claimed that this is heretical or unorthodox because the catholic church has this teachings that men are made only for women.

Why is it that people and the media made a big deal out of this just because it was posted on a catholic church?  I searched the net and it is not just Saints Columba-Brigid Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo New York, who first put up this sign.  There were two other churches like The St. John’s Methodist church and the Gosford Anglican Church who posted this same exact sign and people did not even sensationalize this sign.

Why pick on just the Catholic church? Just like this woman who attacks the Pope and maliciously said that the catholic church was largely built by pedophiles.  She had the audacity to say those words in social media without even consulting her US history.  What a shame! In the first place they were talking about values… what values do people get from people who lash out at other people? I know it is part of their job to create controversy in order to gain popularity.  However, at the end of the day, can they go to bed peacefully? I don’t think so!

To go back to the this pathetic view about “Two Dads”.  Why not look and see what is behind the sign instead of crying foul about it promoting same sex marriage?  Besides, why not let people be happy and just accept the fact that these things happen and it is here to stay and all they have to do is live in their own closed-minded world?

Go with the facts and not just what you want to believe.  Try to be more compassionate about people who just want to express their love and be with someone who they want to spend the rest of their lives with.

The Saints Columba-Brigid Roman Catholic Church had to take the sign down because there was an outrage of people saying that this is wrong.  Oh by the way… What is wrong and what is right?  Being orthodox and self proclaiming righteous is right? Oh Come on!  Is not that how the pharisees reacted to Jesus?

Pastor Roy Herberger even said that the sign was intended for encouraging children who grow up outside a nuclear family, that people understand what they are going through.

Why can’t they just accept the pastor’s explanation that it is basically not suggesting same-sex marriage because this is heretical to the catholic teachings, but a way to disseminate encouragement that the Catholic Church is a very welcoming christian denomination.

At the end of the day, Christians do believe as to what the bible said in 1 Corinthians 13:13 that “So now faith, hope and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love“.  Whatever happened to this verse from the bible?  Are they applying this by discriminating against people who just want to share love to the person they chose to spend the rest of their lives with?  Do these people not have the right to the same happiness, grace and love that God offers all who believe?
