The Voice of Darren Espanto

This was a request about a Filipino-Canadian kid who has a unique singing voice that can capture the heart of every person who will hear him sing. Darren was born in Calgary Alberta Canada, he first joined a competition in Edmonton Canada where he won the Masters Finals of Pinoy Singing Sensation. Darren Espanto’s first tv appearance when he joined the YTV’s The Next Star in 2012 at the age of 10.

He catapulted to fame when he joined the ABS-CBN’s The Voice Kids and placed as the first runner up. He then joined the Star Magic Talent center. His self-titled album now a certified platinum debuted number 1 on the Philippines Apple’s itune store.

He also sang the famous World Youth Day song “Let Us Tell The World of His Love” for Pope Francis where he gained recognition world wide.

The way he sang this song was just amazing, hitting every notes like he was just popping corns.  The best about this kid is that he sings from his heart and making the song sound so easy, as if he was just playing with his vocals.  The falsetto was just so smooth and extends above the range of his voice, and sings it higher and better than the original singer Sia.  Making it like he really owns the song!  This kid will go a long way if given a chance to make it in the international scene.  Now I truly believe that most of the best singers are from the Philippines!
